Because of YOU, I’ve been on air 15 years. No job is perfect but this one is pretty close.
So what do you want to see more of? In the next few weeks, I’ll be hunting wild boar on an airboat in LA and have my very first hunt in HI for free range Axis. Any other ideas? Never been to Maine, maybe a Maine bear?
I need your input to make Mathews TV the show you wanna see!

Haha, just kidding Dave. How about rattle snake hunting with a bow? Might know of a place or two with some trophy rattlers. Watch for deflection in the rocks.
Seriously, I love watching elk hunting when the bulls are hit and coming to calls. Nothing like the sound of a mad bull screaming in the crisp mountain air to get the heart pumping.
Location: Layton, UtahI’d Love to see you hunt something in Utah! Anything in Utah would be awesome! My problem is I can’t get the Outdoor Channel anymore so I really can’t see anything anymore. Is there another way to watch you? That Crazy Old Mormon in Utah! My Bow: Prime Impact 50# @ 29" My Rest: Trophy Ridge "SmackDown" My Sight: Spott Hogg "Hunter"More in depth tech-tip’s.GregO >>>-----> Hunt2Live2Hunt

Location: ManitobaAll bow for sure.
Taking kids bowhunting, taking veterans bowhunting, Coues deer, and Brown bear.
Detailed tech tips are great as well.
I like your show Dave. Loved the episode where the guide called moose for you from the ground.
Joined: 2/3/2007How about a reality hunt. You know, go to public property, scout, hang a set, and hunt like we all do. Personally, I enjoy hunts that allow the viewer to see all aspects of the hunt, even if it means failure. TV hunting has become so canned and for the most part too predictable and a bit boring. Idea: pick a state, pick a county, pick an area, find a local host, and go hunting…reality style.
Joined: 5/30/2010Make us proud and go and get a west Texas aoudad. I bet is a darn near impossibility.
Joined: 12/8/2009I would like to see you take someone from this forum on a hunt. There is no one more deserving than gjarcher! I think that most of the usual’s here will agree with me. Brian has always taken the time to answer anybody’s questions and in a very humble and respective way. My vote is to see Brian on Mathews TV!
Joined: 3/18/2008I would not mind seen one forum member a year go on a dream hunt. Good luck and thanks for asking ..More deer hunts and tech tips come to Maryland … And the shows rocks Dave look forward to it every week.. good luck and happy safe hunting
Location: S.E. MissouriI want to see a show that tells how a trophy is in the eye of the beholder. How a spike buck might be more of a trophy to a beginner than an eight point buck to a veteran hunter. Also stress that killing isn’t everything it’s the memory’s and spending quality time with friends and family that mean the most. Oh and bloopers, bloopers and more bloopers. LolGreat ideas! Thanks for letting me know. Utah? Would love it, I’ll try to set something up. Rattlesnakes? Hmmm, might need a bit of thought on that one.
As far as being “Real”, I would love to show you what it’s really like. ALL the TV hosts put in days and weeks to get an episode. My “Real” hunts are just like your real hunts. Days and days of nothing but a couple of birds!!
However, I will do a self guided, public ground hunt to show how I would scout and set up. I’ll hunt hard, I might get one, I might not. I’ll cc you on all the complaints when I air a show without a kill. People are so insulted. One time a guy e mailed me and said I just wasted 30 minutes of his life. LOL
Take a guy from the forum on a hunt. YES!
DWDave Watson Mathews TVGW More Tech Tips coming your way…. I agree. Bowhunters love to work on their bow.
Hodag Mathews TV will always be 99% bowhunting, but I gotta admit, I love long range 300 mag shots. I might have to sneak in a couple 400 yd mulies from time to time. What a thrill !
Book I’m all about kids being where God meant them to be…hunting. I’m in. As for Vets, I owe each and everyone of them a huge debt. My dad changed out engines on planes on an aircraft carrier in WW II. He served for 6 hard years. Some of his stories were pretty brutal for an 18 year old kid to have to go through. I don’t care if they sweep the floors or are the top sniper in the world. I’ll take a Vet, (and I have taken many), on a hunt anytime.
Patio I try to feature 3-D but most of the pros don’t want a camera in their face. I can’t give my viewers an entertaining episode with footage of the back of a shooter’s head with the camera set up 10 yards behind him, or her. If I ever get a green light, I’ll give you an episode more exciting than a MMA fight.
Vash I’ve hunted free range Texas aoudad twice. You are correct. But, I will keep trying.
Backyard Maryland would be a cool episode. Hook me up with some locals and we’ll do it!
Bootheal You hit the nail on the head as far as I’m concerned. If a bowhunter is thrilled with a spike, I’m thrilled for him, or her. Did you see the Two Harbors episode where I was hunting a doe? I got such a rush when a doe finally stepped out.
Most of you know me very well. I will ALWAYS respond if I can. I don’t have internet access most of the time. And …as I’ve said many times before, I don’t have alot of close friends because you might not like what I say ….but I will always tell you the truth. Cowboy up and deal with it.
The wife is yelling at me. I gotta go make the rounds and check on all the doors, windows and sleeping kids.
