I shoot them both and they are both great rests…..along with the Drop Zone too.

Ive got a 4 to 4 vote but no one left opinions on the whammy :-S 8-| #-o ](*,)

The only thing that I was uneasy about with the Whammy was how the cord acts near a rollerguard. At full draw it forms a loop right next to the rollers. Although unlikely, my first impression is it can get caught on them.
Other than that, I really like how it’s always up and holds arrow well. Setup is a breeze.
I’ll be spending more time with the LD, but will try the Whammy again soon.

i just put the limbdriver on my drenalin. shot a few shots
through paper. still have some tuning to do.

everybody says it’s so easy to set up. i didn’t find it so.
i did call vapor trail, and they were very helpful in
getting the rest set up. :thumbup :thumbup

Its easy, set the prongs so they are about 1/8″ off the shelf, to eliminate bounce, also set the spring tension so that it barely holds the arrow at full draw. Set centershot to 13/16″ (I tuned at 11/16″). Set up the height so the arrow is in line with the berger hole. And my nock is about 1/16″ high….. :thumbup

I’ve used the limb driver for over a year on a LX and Swirchback. Sets up and tunes quickly. Great arrow flight and clearance. No problems while hunting with it.

I’m trying out a Whammy now. What I like about it is that the arrow is “upright” all the time and is securely contained. I tried to make my arrow bounce off with jerky draws, but it stayed on. The Limb Driver gets great reviews, but I didn’t like the arrow being down on the shelf and coming up on the draw. So far the Whammy is VERY accurate and with powder testing, I’m not getting any fletch contact with Blazers. If it turns out that the Whammy doesn’t work for some reason, the Limb Driver would be the #1 next rest on my evaluation list.

I have owned both rests and the one that is staying on my bow is the limb driver. It is a lot easier to set up, a lot less finicky, has a spring steel launcher which gives a better accuracy, guides the arrow almost as long as the whammy and has less clearance issues. Hands down the best rest out right now, containment would be nice, but I am not complaining.

I voted for the LD because that is what I went with. Have never tried the Whammy so I cannot say anything about it.

The LD is an awesome rest, easy to setup and tune and works well.

One thing about the LD. When the weather changes, I have noticed that the rope can and will raise or lower the prongs off the shelf. I have had to burn in it my head that this is just the “at rest” position and not the position while at full draw. Not telling myself this would put doubt into whether or not the rest was still holding the arrow at the proper height and angle.

well after the troubles i have been having with the whammy id have to vote against it. no experience with the limb driver so i cant comment on it. i think ill stick with the drop zone from now on until something better comes along.

I have owned both and sold the Whammy …I have three LD in the house all set up in 15 min to shooting bullet holes…The Whammy im MY [/i:iepp4e3c]opinion is way to finicky to set up…3 RH in the last month and a half with the LD…I havent had that many in the last 3 years….

Arrows fly true as I have ever seen them….

I have friends that use the LD and there hasnt been any need to put twists in the buss cable on thier SB to get a good center shot…

My vote is and will always be the LD for drop a away
