But you are walking back from 3 yards to 10 yards. that not really doing anything drastic is it? what about 20 and 30 and 40 ?

:D Same Info ..just at longer distance info will be more Exaggerated..or “Drastic”…if arrow is planning badly that may even give you false info at longer distance…as one tunes bow on how arrow leaves bow ..

    Clear like mud :^O

This has helped a bunch setting up the new Z7, but part of my older addled brain matter is wondering should this not be done with bare shafts at 9 yards or does it matter. i guess i am sort of remembering some old martin archery material i read years ago…

    thanks

:D Hence the title… “Modified Close Method”, Fletched arrows will show any interference with rest..etc.while bare shafts may not…..

Neil- should i try this method for the walk back everyone has been telling me to do, or should i try the old method? i have fletching contact on my arrows and i cant seem to figure out why im getting it. also, for the close method, is this supposed to be done WITH fletched arrows, or without?

:p :D Heyy Raul..using your level and one pin is the same..as long as your bow, level and shooting line are all level…its the same thing..

I just wanted to try this out and see if my bow was all tuned up after 1700 shots into a new Barracuda string , and my groups look like picture 6 so i guess Terry Griswald really got her dialed in last year , and ive got an 8 pointer to show for it. I kinda want a new bow , but this one shoots so good its scary

should I do this after I have had my bow shot through a hooter shooter? What is the purpose of a hooter shooter?

So, does is it just by coincidence, when talking about elevation only, that my arrows will/should hit at the same elevation both at 3 yards and at 10 yards, or can I expect to have a differerent elevation POI when comparing 3 yards to 10 yards?

:D The arrow is still fairly flat out to ten yards …however there are changes…for example we used the 40 yard pin on anything 5 yards or less

Not knowing you bow specs prove it to yourself by shootoing three at 3 yards -six yards eight yards and again ten…

it also depends on how big of an area a shooter consideres their POI…I have seen shooters before working on them with a two foot POI :^O
