In favorite sauce pot cook appx. 2 Tbs. chopped garlic, and cook until almost brown
Add the 3 lbs. Ground meat, Add Salt & Pepper liberlally, brown the meat, leaving some in larger chunks. Drain Excess grease.
Once the meat is cooked remove it from pot and reserve.
Add a 1/2 cup chopped carrotts and onion and lightly brown, Be Careful at this point not to burn you pot.
When the veggies are brown, add about 2/3 cup red wine, then appx. 4 cans good peeled canned tomatoes. Add the cooked meat,3lg. leaves fresh Basil, dry oregano and cook for an hour or so.
when almost finished Add 1/4lb. (1 stick) Butter
