Here’s my fave.
2# coarse ground venison
1 chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1 can petit diced tomatos
1# Pinto beans
3 quarts water maybe more depending on the beans
3 table spoons Mortons chili blend or to taste
Soak the beans for several hours and then cook till they start to get soft then, Brown the venison in olive oil, when done dump into the bean pot.
Saute the onions till the edges start turning brown then toss in the garlic for about 30 seconds. Add the onions, garlic, and tomatos to the pot. Stir well and add at least three table spoons of Mortons chili blend. Mortons is the very best I have ever used. Now slow cook this for about an hour or so stiring every 15 minutes. If it’s to thick add water if a little thin mix up a table spoon of corn starch with a little cold water and add to the pot.
Break out the crackers and a (cold) beverage and ENJOY. [:p]
