Hello all. I just got a ultra max. I have never shot a bow and thought this would be a good cheap bow to learn on plus I hear it is a very good, fast bow. It is very tough for me to draw and I was trying to adjust the draw weight on it. I tried with an allen wrench but could not turn it even though I tried with a lot of force I was afraid I was going to break it if I used any more force. is it suppose to be this hard? Any tips?

That is an old bow and the bolts are most likely seized. Some one probably buried them and now they are stuck. You may be able to soak them with an aggressive penetrating oil and break them loose. You may also try giving them a sharp blow with a hammer with an Allen in the socket head and shock it after it has soaked. If all else fails, visit your local dealer or buy a lower poundage bow. Good deals aren’t always what they seem to be up front. Good luck.
