    Hey Guys
John from central NJ here. I just found out I was drawn for the first week permit in the zone I wanted. Check out my gallery to see the birds I’m after. I have at least 6 longbeards with 9-10 inch beards coming through every day. Opening day cannot get here fast enough!

WOW looks like all of you guys are seasoned Pro’s.  Well my name is James and I’m not a big Turkey hunter but have a couple places to kill them. Never have with a Bow so I’m still a virgin… Ill work hard at it starting April 1. I have a lease in KS with so many turkey is amazing but I wont be there until Sept. so looks like a VA turkey will have to do IF Im fortunate enough.  Ill get some decoys… and give it a try. I do have a couple friends that know this so ill be on there coat tails.  Don’t get me wrong I have killed turkey just not with bow but this year i will leave shotgun at home and bring bow – So what are good decoys and broad heads for this? Lastly This new forum is killing me so I’m not sure how often ill be checking in… but I will. Good Luck Team 7!!!

I’m not what you would call a seasoned veteran I’ve managed to a jake last spring and a hen this fall with my bow. As far as decoys go I have a Primos B-mobile gobbler decoy and a couple hen decoys that I believe are made by primos not positive since I’ve had them since I started turkey hunting when I was twelve. but for broad heads I use the same ones I do for deer I use NAP spitfires. good luck it’s a lot more exciting going after turkeys with a bow I don’t know how many times I’ve been busted trying to draw on one in the last two year but It makes it that much more challenging and fun but good luck

not fussy with a name either. Had 4 or 5 gobbling on sunday.  All were very vocal even in the snow flurries and wind.

Any name is fine with me. I have 22 days till my turkey opener and I have some nice birds around as long as no one disturbs them(they shouldnt it’s private land) I hope to get some points for our team that first week. I’m also going to be videoing I have the tripod and camera all ready to go.
Good luck to everyone on the team this season!

well boys, picked up the Creed tactical on Thursday. Got her sighted in for 2o, 30, and 40. Went out Friday and got a nice tom.  It happened to be a double with a great friend of mine. We called in 3 toms and 2 jakes and were fortunate enough to harvest 2 of the toms, and bonus is we have it on video. So as soon as I get time I’ll get it posted.
