Hey guys, started a thread with the team name in it. Brian here checking in from Michigan…..ready to drop another longbeard this year. Hope you guys are ready to win this thing!Chris from Virginia checking in. Looking forward to chasing thunder chickens in the next couple of weeks.Scott from MS. Season starts the 15th. Good luckReezen 6.5 66/29 Creed 72/29LOL…….sorry about my FAILED attempt to start the team thread last week. Tried to do it at work and best I can figure is I was rudely interrupted by my boss or something and I hit send before I could finish the title!
Thanks for getting us back on track Brian. Chad here from Virginia, certainly ready for the weather to break and the turkeys to start gobbling! Its been a rough winter here in the Blue Ridge.
Yeah, Im slowly starting to think about turkey season, but it’s still a LONG ways off. My hunt is still two months away, so I’m not rushing into it quite yet. Give me another month, and then I’ll start pinpointing my shooter birds.Chad, hope you are ready for some snow. Looks like the birds wont be gobbling for another couple weeks in our areaChad, hope you are ready for some snow. Looks like the birds wont be gobbling for another couple weeks in our area
What parts of Va you from bro? I’m southwestern, in Grayson County, about an hour and a half west of Roanoke. Right now looks like this one my just miss us. We will get something, but living in the county with the highest peak in Virginia, anything less than 6″ of snow is “just missing” us….LOL! Looking like we gonna get around 3-4″ maybe. Wouldn’t want to be in the northern part of the state for this one though!

I am in Northern Virginia. Going to get a bunch based on weather predictions. Was really hoping to get out and do some scouting and shed hunting. Looks like that may be difficult.
22 degrees and 35mph wind this morning and 3 toms were strutting around a group of 15-18 hens this morning. I’ve seen them all winter in this field along the highway on my way to work, the last week or so the gobblers have been fanned out and strutting. Just doesn’t do much for me yet…..all I keep thinking is “are those turkeys out of their minds”. Seen one of those facebook thingys yesterday that said “I wish old man winter would get mother nature drunk and go make spring” I’m good with that
Looks like we are still missing yellowcrk30 and PA B0WHUNT3R. Anyone know if they’ve been around?-
