Climbing Stand or Hang-on Stand…I use both depending on the hunting situation.

My Lone Wolf Sit&Climb is the best climber on the market. Way better than my Summit climber, much lighter, quieter, and way more solid. I’m happy to have it!

If I had private property to hang a stand, then I would hang one up and keep it there. The climbers are for guys like me that hunt state land and cant keep it up in the tree overnight (besides the theft factor).

I voted hang-on stands. I hunt on our farm so theft isn’t an issue. Plus, climbers won’t work on most of our trees.

hang on! i use the non-typical with rapid rails. it’s easy to move and, can be used in most trees. there’s a lot of trees where i hunt climbers can’t be used.

I use hang ons almost exclusively. Climbers wouldn’t get more than 10 feet up a tree around here without having to cut off several large branches. [=}=]

Climbers (specifically Gorrilla Ol’Grayback Deluxe and Loggy Bayou Mega Transformer), they are safer for getting up and down, more comfortable, I can adjust a few yards quickly if needed, etc …. I will use Summit Buck Steps and Loggy Monarch XL if there is not a climable tree where I need to be.

Fixed treestand for me mainly because there are not too many places where a climber could be used aroung here. Never tried a ladder stand, but my son is getting big enough to try a double sitter.

We’ve got about 9 hang-ons and 5 or 6 ladder stands on our 104 acres in central Il. They are great just because during the season, there always there and you don’t have to worry about dragging stuff into the woods. When I hunt public ground, like Allerton Park, I use a Lone Wolf Climber! That thing brings new meaning to the word ‘light!’ I had an 03′ summit that weighed in at about 30lbs. and the lone wold is right around 13 or 14. They are worth every penny!

I use climbers (Summit :thumbup ), Hang ons with climbing sticks, ladder stands, tripods, and have one 18′ hut that will hold two people. I need more ladder stands and would always love another hut or tripod. :bigdrool
