Consider the warranty. If you try it and like it, the warranty is your true cost.

shoot a tribute and you will see

    what he meant.

if you shoot a tribute and an xt side by side you will really have a decision to make then.

( i am in that decision making process now )

This may be the best bow Mathews has ever made. Don’t believe traditional thinking about a 6″ brace height with this bow. This bow is unbelievably accurate and very forgiving. Just ask Ginger Moorehead or Kelly Ward what they think of the bow. We have two them and would not trade them for any other bow ever made and we have owned most of the better bows on the market at one time or the other. If you can trade your XT even for a Prestige in the same condition, jump on it.

Like Al said, the XT and Tribute is at least closer to “apples to apples”. To trade for the Prestige is not comparable.
The way I see it is that the Prestige is a target bow that you can hunt with. The XT is a hunting bow that you can target shoot with. Which do you prefer?

The Prestige has a much rougher draw cycle and less let off. There are a lot of shorter draw shooters that love the Prestige since they can get more performance out of it.
All that being said, Its all up to you and how you see it……not me. :thumbup

If you like your bow, and I assume you do. I would hold on to it with both hands. I just bought my SB XT last week and I can’t shoot it enough.

There is no way I would make that trade. I thought the Prestige was more for target shooters???? If you are going to hunt with the bow I would definitely keep the XT

I would say no, the prestige is nice but the xt is better as an all around bow

Out of all the people telling you not to trade I wonder just how many have shot the Prestige and how can someone who hasn’t shot this bow give you a resounding don’t do it If you look at the specs the bow looks like a bear to shoot but in reality it is a shooter I have both the XT and The Prestige actually two of each and I can say that the Prestige will be going in the field with me this year :thumbup and it is hands down a better performing bow than the XT JMHO

No warranty=no big deal after all it is a Mathews. Good luck and tell us what you do. [=}=]

Not true. I have had to use mine before, and I’m glad I had it. [=}=][/quote:1l8qz3hh]
    :agree
you will never need to use it unless you DON’T HAVE IT(warranty)!!! keep your XT My opinion you can’t get much better until maybe 2007 :whistle
