Looking great guys, way to go! Shot anther doe this morning so no points but meat in the freezer. On way back out now so I hope daddy comes walking by. I’ll post a picture latterHere you go guys. She came out at 714 this morning. 23 yard shot and she dropped in 30 yards. My 2 year absolutely loves when I shoot a deer. He had his toy saw out trying to help me gut her out. He is my little hunter in training!Great job Eric, your son looks very happy helping you hold your doe for the picture. Reminds me of the enthusiasm my 2 yr old son had when I showed him my buck on Saturday. He was more than happy to get to hold its horns and touch its fur. It was the first time he had seen a deer in person close enough to touch it. He was certainly more than thrilled!
Looks like you and I are both going to have little hunting partners joining in on the hunts before we know it.Yes it does Clint, and I’m sure you are just as excited as I am for that day to come.Points wise we are doing good for only 3 bucks on the board and a few doe. We will really need a few more bucks on the board to push ahead though.
Anyone spotted any shooters they are after?I have an 8 pt and 14 pt I’m after but have had zero sightings of them in 3 weeks. Lets hope things get better soonHave a couple but they won’t do us any good for the contest . Got another doe yesterday morning. Just got back from sitting this afternoon and saw 11 different bucks. Both the big 4×4′s that are on my list. The last time I saw the 145″ 5×5 was in Oct. Talked to the guys next to me on both sides and they haven’t ever seen him period. No pictures either. Guess he turned into a ghost.
Joined: 11/25/2005Clint that’s one fine buck, and wish I had the time to put in a doe at
least like the rest of you. Congrats to you all.
I can’t get out much anymore but I read all your posts when I can.
All you guys on my team are doing great!.
I did have 3 bucks, two 8 pts, and an old spike that did battle early on
(before work) but couldn’t close the door on time. Sorry about that.
Missed a doe on the first Sat. miss guessed yardage with slope, then
hit a cross rod support on my blind on a second doe a week later, she
was at 17 yards.
Then got a call to go to work.
Sucks not being out there but sure is great to read about all you
guys doing well this fall.
God bless.Got a doe this morning. I will email the pics in when I get back home. I’m on the stand right now waiting on a buck. I have pics of a few good ones but they just haven’t been on their feet in the day.Congrats! 5 more for the good guys.
HANKWell i sent everything in to Vince so we should have 5 more points when he adds it to our total. Our rut is at the end of this month so, the bucks are starting to move a little more. I saw two small rack bucks and several spikes this weekend but, no shooters. Anyway here is a pick of my 135 pound Madison Parish Louisiana Swamp Donkey.Great job Kreig 5 more points rolling in.I was sitting here looking at this and after Kriegs doe gets put on our score, we only need 2 of anything and we could possibly take this .
Keep after them boys it will happen .
HANKWe are definitely in the hunt. I am going to do my best and try to put a buck on the board too.
Joined: 11/25/2005Can’t promise anything but if I can get in some daylight target shooting
this week and work in a day off in the next 2-3 weeks to get out I’ll
try to help out.
My season runs into Jan. so if I can a day or two to hunt maybe I can
get one, they run dogs down here so deer will be running if at all.
I usually quit at the end of Oct. but you all are so close in points I think
it won’t hurt to try to extend my season this year.
Signed.. the freezer is empty but my tags are full.
