You guys are already at a disadvantage. One of your members, aka BOW4UM, is just too selective. Has to be a booner for him to even touch his bow……..

A little about where I hunt… we lease some land on the Mississippi River, right on the Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi State line (East Carrol Parish). It’s inside the levee system, and most of the year surrounded by water. About 4000 acres, and I’ve been hunting this land since I was 10. Our club manages the deer w/ a 21″ main beam, minimum. We have a 2 buck per member limit, w/ a possible third “trophy” buck in the works (Not yet voted on).

It’s about 4 hours from where I live, so unfortunately I don’t get to hunt much during the week. But once the season starts (October 1), I am in the woods every single weekend. I take a lot of Fridays and Mondays off, and at least one full week of vacation during the rut.

    Hurry up October!!!

Hey Rob, Sounds like your in them and if your killing deer like the one in your avatar this is gonna be fun and your gonna do well for our team!!!

I hunt in VA mostly and have great places but a new county program is letting clubs hunt the parks now and the quality and numbers for me are dropping fast. I use to let so many bucks go in a year many nice ones but am rethinking this now. I also hunt KS for about a week every year. This is my third year doing this and I have contributed no less than 18, 19 & 21 points and hope for at least 20 this year. 18 is easy haha jinx!!! I have put out cams and getting a lot of scrub bucks and only 1 target so far he is a 11pt we call bullseye and is approx 6+ years old and going down hill. I want him bad this year.

Looks like we have some very accomplished hunters on this team based on previous success.

Thanks James…I just hope to contribute. I am jealous that you get to hunt Kansas…It’s one of my dream spots. Unfortunately, our club costs so much, it’s hard enough every year just to scrape together the dues…so I really focus on our lease. One day, hopefully, I will expand in geography!

Looking forward to hearing from everyone else on the team, and coming up w/ a name, etc….

This ought to be fun, and a little extra motivation to hunt even harder!

Glad to be on Team 8. I hunt in west central and east central Mississipppi. I am very hungry this year after a slow deer season last year and a terrible finish to the 3D season this year.

I am ready to put some blood on the ground and points on the board!

I spoke w/ one of my co-workers, who said he can make a banner if no one else can, or wants to fool with it….

    Hey Fellas!

My name is Luke, I live in St. Louis city, got 53 acres out about 75m west of here.

Got some big bucks around, just lots of pressure one all surrounding sides. Will do my best to get anything down, been on a cold streak for a few years but I am definitely putting in my time. The hard work should pay off eventually I hope.

Been absolutely BRUTAL here in the midwest. We set a new record of days over 105+ degrees this year. Planted a bunch of soybeans that never grew. Clover burned up, had a monster plot of that out for my bees and deer. We had no rain for almost 2 straight months during the massive heat wave…everything is dead :thumbdown

We have a few vineyards on our land, we make wine and also sell to the wineries in the area (we are smack dab in MO wine country). Going to make a last ditch effort to get some wheat/oats/turnips/clover in the ground if we can get a little rain anytime soon. Ground is so hard i couldnt even use a post pounder to get some rebar in to mount a camera last week. its BAD out here but I’ll give it my best. I guess the “good” thing is that all the corn and beans are dead everywhere (sorry about the price of your food/gas soon). Thus, if we CAN get some food out we should be sitting pretty. My neighbors also hunt very hard and manage their land, but their pricey food plots have all turned to dust also.

My good buddy from college has a family farm about an hour north of STL with some MONSTER bucks and good beans, they got their crops in late may when everyone said they were crazy for planting. I’ve got an invite, so I will definitely be heading up if i can get a break from the wife/kids and a free pass for a weekend.
Season opens on 9/15 here and I will be there!

Good luck to everyone, it’s always great to meet some new folks via the contest.

Hey fellas my name is Brock and love in south central ky. I hope to put some meat in the freezer this year. I have a little land I hunt close to home that have several nice bucks then have another farm couple hours away thats almost 1000 acres with lots if deer but hard hunting. I have 2 kids that I will hopefully guide to nice deer also. With the kids playing sports hunting time may be limited a little more this year but trust me I will make plenty of time to get out and hunt. The team name doesn’t matter to me, hopefully someone will be able to make a banner that would be cool. I hope to get to know each of you a little better. Lets get it done and kill some deer and win this thing!

What’s everyone’s idea’s for a team name? Or a banner? I’m not very creative, but will throw in my .02…whatever everyone else wants to do is fine.

What about this, our banner flashes between Seven different really big, BIG bucks. Under each buck, has each of our names, respectively. And the team name is The Magnificent Seven. It’s not too original, some of you guys that have done this before may have a better idea or it may have already been done??

    just my .02…
