Dang guys I feel like I’m hunting in Canada we have 4″ of snow and it was 9F this morning it was the frist time I’ve ever got to hunt in the snow and I loved it had the rifle and didn’t see any shooters but I did end the life of a fawn eating coyote, I’ll be back out in the snow in the morning maybe I can get lucky and tag out with one more buck.
I hope they add the points soon an maybe we’ll win but either way it was a pleasure being on a team with each of you.

Last day boys….  Jessee – You never get used to -2F.  I definately will not hunt all day in that temp.  Usually just the last few hours of the day if I go out at all in the weather.

Generally I do not hunt all day regardless.  I will hunt the morning and the evening.  I’ve been out in that kind of temperature before and it does not feel good.  Generally layers are very important at that time and try not sweating too much on your walk to the stand.  You will freeze even more if you sweat too much on your walk into the woods.  Sometimes this will get the deer moving a little as the temperature goes down.  They generally need more nutrition on cold days to keep warm.

Outstanding job guys!  Wish I could have contributed.  This was the first time I didn’t score in this contest and we won.  Go figure?!  Anyway great job by all you guys!  Remember to read Vince’s post and send him your address so you get your trophy.  Bragging right for a year….
