    Gents,

It looks like led0321 has struck again.  When all the points get put in we will have 57 points.  Way to go guys.  Now the pressure is really on.  Tomorrow I will be heading back for my final trip????  Unless my wife allows more but generally December is not a good month to be hunting in Wisconsin.  VERY, VERY COLD.  I am hoping to contribute some points.  The two Wisconsin boys are left to strike with Jessee just needing a buck.

Hope to contribute this coming week.  There hopefully are two deer out there with my name on them!!!!!!

Hey guys good luck on y’all’s next hunt I’m trying to get a buck every chance I get they really don’t start moving good around here till Christmas time, gun season opens this Saturday I’ll be hunting some public land with rifle and the right back to bow for the rest of the season I’m hoping to get us at least 8 not points that’s the biggest buck I’ve got on camera this year at my place so I hope it goes like I have planned but y’all know how that goes but usually every year around Christmas few bucks I haven’t seen show up so maybe one with more points comes by but till then I’ll be in the stand just watching and waiting, I shot a doe last thrusday morning it was a complete pass through I hit her a little high and no blood on the arrow I found 6 small drops of blood and that was it I have video footage from my bow cam I’ll try and get it uploaded if I get some spare time.

What is coming? I’m dying to know!!   No good news to report from me.  I can’t seem to get much time to hunt.  Was up in Northern Wisconsin for a while, but due to complications with my dads health I didn’t do much hunting.  I will be back up there over the holidays and will give it another try.

Here is a Video of the buck I shot on my second trip up two Wisconsin.  This video was a few days before I shot him.  Did not see him again during the second trip.  He is a 2-1/2 year old but has some really nice G2′s.  I do have more to report on this guy……….

This is another post leading up to the great reveal.  I did see this buck again on my third hunt.  Second from last day of hunting.  After I had shot 5 does with my gun and after I had decided that it was time to get back out with the bow……..  Did he get close enough to put the second arrow in him?

I can say he did not seem to be affected, AT ALL, by the first broad head in his upper back/neck area.  It must have been uncomfortable but he was certainly not showing it.  Just like I thought he had the broad head in the very thick part of his back bone / rib cage.  Just a little higher and he would have been paralyzed and just a little lower and I would have had a complete pass thru with a slightly better chance at getting him the first time, only slightly because I have seen where this is not a kill either but can be if you hit the right location and get an artery?

Hmmm…. I hope this ends well.  One of my buddy’s took a pic of a deer who came by him with an arrow stuck in him like that last year. He said deer looked fine too. On the edge of my seat…………….

Well I have drawn this out about as long as anyone in this group wants to wait.  I did see him again.  First time was on my horseshoe stand.  That was when I drove an arrow into his neck/spine area.  As I said before, he did not seem affected by that arrow at all.  Could not have been comfortable but he seemed fine this second time I saw him.  This time I was hunting on what I call my North forty.  The name is exactly what it is…. My most northern 40 acre parcel.  The stand is about 100 yards into the woods with draws the come to a point at or near the stand.  This was a late hunt on Saturday evening.  Just before sun down he came into my stand.  Straight up at me from the trail that leads down the valley in front of me.  If I move he sees me and with gun season on he was on alert but like I said it was getting dark and I only had so much time for light.  He eventually got to the top and turned in front of me.  The trail at the top turns 90 degrees from me and moves out of the woods.  He was on this and turned to go to the pine trees on the edge of the woods.  That is where I took my shoot.  This time less than 20 yards.  Straight into the lungs…… the big THUD as the arrow when thru.  Needless to say he did not go far.  Maybe 40 yards.

I will provide the picture in the next post.
