    Hello Guys I am glad to be on this team and I can’t wait to be out in the woods! I was supposed to go on an Antelope hunt this summer, but I had to postpone it till next summer, my wife was in a car accident a few days before I was supposed to go, so I stayed home with her..

    Hey Nick,
    I  think we are all pumped for the up coming season.  Me and my brother put up two stands today. It was hot even in the shade what we do for the opportunity to take a Whitetail. It seem like I will be the last one in the woods  Oct 15 for me .

    Oh wow, that has to be hard and have you chopping at the bit to get into the woods..  I wish you and your brother good luck at your stand sites and I agree, I hope that everyone takes a whitetail this year!

    Nick welcome… Bummer about the antelope hunt, but I hope your wife had a full recovery. Getting ready for deer hunting here is not much work for me. I have been hunting these same woods since I was 9. I have several stands trough out the county. I do need to get out and check trail cameras before I leave for Colorado on the 2nd.  I will be most likely off the grid until the Sept. 15th, so be safe out there prepping for the season.

    I might be the earliest to begin.  Both MN and WI open NEXT WEEKEND!!!  Sept. 13!  I have spent most of the last 2 weekend scouting and hanging stands on the WI lease.  450 acres.  I have 11 up so far and hoping to get another 5 or so if I can.  We were late to get on the lease and that’s why the late start on stand sites.  Deer are starting to show up on the cameras where the spots have been left alone for a while.  I will post a couple of the ones we have on camera so far.  The bottom pic is from last year at my farm here in MN.  I generally don’t get really big deer here so if he made it through the year he will be on my hit list for MN.

    Let’s all keep the pics and stories coming and everyone be safe this season.  Nick…. hope your wife is well!    Vance

    Good Morning my friends I agree with jason on the name Mount Rutmore for the team name. what do you the rest of you think? I know that jayson is on his Elk hunt and I hope he is having a fantastic time! I wish him the best of luck. V-Man I wish you luck this weekend and hope you have an awesome hunt as well. This past weekend for me was crazy busy, and when I went to my stand site that I used last year on FT. Drum I was glad to see it untouched, and I was about to put my stand up when I remembered I don’t have one vital piece of gear. I didn’t buy climbing sticks for my stand yet.. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_brick_wall} So this Thursday I will be going to my local pro-shop and getting a set of three, and I will put up my stand then.. On a side note, Last year I used Nose Jammer and Mathews invisible hunter, I think the nose jammer worked well and the invisible hunter worked good also, but I think this year I want to try Scent Killer Gold or Dead Down Wind. What do you all think?

    I am good with the team name.  I also think those products when used in combination of shower wash, and clothing washed works well.  I guess I am a pretty big stickler for scent protection if I can help it.  Good luck to you guys as well.  I am not planning on taking a doe this weekend only a trophy.  Don’t have a lot of extra time.  She will have to wait for a later date hahaha.  Good luck to all!  V

    Seems as though we have a majority vote for the team name of Mount Rutmore.    I’ll go ahead and tell Vince.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}

    Awesome! Thanks Drenleg 1.  How are things going in West Virginia?  You probably have already told us, but when does your season open? I have tomorrow off and I will be putting my stands up then. My season starts the 27th of September and I can’t wait to get into the woods! I am also going to set out my cameras and see how many deer are there also. what should we do for a Team Logo? I kinda thought about having Mount Rushmore but somehow having Buck Heads where the presidents faces are… Idk though.
