You in the olympics Great shooting, heck at 55y id be lucky to hit the target- lol.
Well I have a ton of bucks in one area, about 12 but no “Big Ones” yet. I feel they will be there as I do see some every year but it’s fun to see a bunch of little “toys” there. I posted one 11pt and an 8pt for kicks. Went in yesterday and had 5 bucks all just staring at me and then they left but one 6-poit came back to within 10y checking me out – like eating from my hand it was pretty cool. The second area has a few small bucks and this one decent target deer. If nothing else he is currently the # 1 target for me in VA and I have him on 3 diff cams so got his # just need to get at him first before my friends They know exactly where he is as well cause I told them… thats how we roll…

Joined: 6/30/2008I am getting really fired up, this will be my forty second year of chasing these creatures with a bow, counting the days down. we kick off here in Mo and Ks September 15thOk been living in the woods lately and have a couple more shooters on my cams (7 in the woods total) . On is a giant and I cant stop thinking about him. He has a small drop and 2 kickers on a 9pt frame. I’m thinking high 150′s to low 160′s. Looks like an exciting season and I have not even been to KS. Heading out this Thur for a long weekend to put in plots and hang 6 stands. I’m excited about KS as its all new property!

Any good pics of deer, mounts or live, work. I’ll try to get to work on the banner in the next day or two.Well Doug and I went to the new KS property and it’s a gem but going to be very difficult. Our friend Ryan also helped us setup. It’s far more mountainous terrain than I thought but that just gives the bucks many hiding places and a chance to get old and BIG!!! but it’s very difficult to access stands…easily. We are going to focus our future efforts on this property letting other friends hunt our first KS property. We are also working/finalizing on a 4000 acre lease but may back off that a bit asking for only 2 sections (1300 acres) of it as it’s getting to be far too much to manage and we are running out of dedicated friends who will join us. (6000 acres is a lot for 3-5 folks…) We set 6 new stands and will start with these doing some reconocense and who knows maybe we will kill one – or two. On the old property we redid 2 acres of wheat and oats and it’s going to be awesome for our friends. We are letting 3 friend’s hunt that this year and they should each have opportunity at multiple 130” + deer. With the lack of deer last year, we decided to walk the creaks… and did not find one dead deer so we believe the drought has forced the deer to travel to the main rives a couple miles away. This year the properties look great as it’s been a wet year in SE KS. I’m optimistic about the new place but any buck taken there is going to be hard earned. No worries cause my VA places are loaded with antlers.
Due to so many other folks hunting the same places I am this year I will be pulling my cams… not wanting to give away my areas, so may not have many more pics to share at least on one property. Ill still have 2 out in VA and I have 4 in KS.
Our Doe season starts Sept 7 with bucks on Oct 5.
Anyone else have anything to report pics…?
GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!!

Joined: 2/16/2008Team name is just fine with me. Checked a trail cam last week and picked up an 11-pointer that stayed in front of the camera for a couple of hours — even bedded down for a while. This is by far the best buck I’ve seen in this area (NW Ohio). We usually do most of our buck hunting down in Coshocton County (east of Columbus) on private land. A couple of bruisers gave us the slip last year, but this is a new season! Sounds like we’ve got an experienced team! I’m always good for a doe, and usually an eight point or better buck. Pretty pumped for this season to begin!Hey Killabuck, Glad you checked in! I agree it looks like a seasoned team we have and going to give the others a run. I have already seen where some have considered there self a front runner – don’t know how they determined that but the way I see it we are stacked! Ohio has stud deer and I hope those that got away last year don’t this year. We are getting close to starting and I too am pumped as I am hunting a lot of new places this year so it’s going to be interesting. I have 30 guys hunting a new 527 acre place and many call me asking to scout with me, they follow me and my partner and look for our truck… it’s funny I swear! I guess they took notice of many past success… I will say they are all good guys and we are all friends, it’s just that I put in a LOT of time and effort.
Well looks like we got a garranty of 36 points so far – your 18 and mine no worries I have a VOODO DEER DOLL to ward off the Jinx!
Post up some pics… love to see them. I get my cams tonight and will post any new targets soon.My Buck killing skills are sick – too bad there not contagious!!!I will be starting my season this sat the 14 and should be able to get us on the board pretty quick. Im taking a new young guy and hope he scores as well. Good luck to all!My Buck killing skills are sick – too bad there not contagious!!!Sorry for the delay on the signature. Too much going on in life, but finally got some time to work on it.
Here’s my attempt on it.
To use as your Signature: Click on the picture below, copy the address/link for it, go to your “My Account” area and copy the link into your signature box. Insert [-img] before the link and [-/img] after the link (without the “-”), save the change & it should now insert the signature picture in all your posts. I needed to put dashes in the instructions to avoid the system thinking that I’d actually added an image there.
