Our season is ON already…. Opened September 1st…. I have been busy with work as of late.
My spot on private land already has my two different stands in place… Two man ladder stand, a single loc-on, and I just recently put up a ground blind at the opposite end of the property..
I have several cam pics… nothing worth bragging about, but ya cant eat horns…
A few Black Bears are also crusing the fields and enjoying an apple here and there as well…
It has been way to hot for my liking but the temps are slowly dropping …. This Saturday is the small game opener (Ruffed Grouse) … as well as Archery Moose… One Bull Tag in our group
I hope to add a few ponts for the team…. My Deer season will run from Sep 1 to Dec 15
Good luck to all

Dude….your deer are insane
Opener for me in Minnesota this weekendWell I checked the camera on the other property and there was nothing worth putting on here. Plenty of pics, all bucks are shed but the big boys were no shows for the three weeks. This is typical for this spot though, they will vanish until around the middle of October and then they will start passing through the area again. Changes in the feeding patterns and travel routes. But it’s okay, I know they are there and I will be too when the time is right.
How has everyone else been. Doesn’t seem to be much talk going on with our group. Everyone must be busy. Well it wont be long and everyone’s seasons will be open. So good luck to all, Good times and Great memories!Z-7 65# 30"I just picked up a new property yesterday. Its a 20 acre piece with alot of potential. It is mainly hedge rows surrounded by corn and some woodlots. Also a huge field that deer seem to filter into from surrounding areas and other outlining fields. Seems like a nice spot to sneak into at the end of the day to catch them in the fields before dark. Best part about this place is its 10 to 15 minutes from my house, so i can slip in after work for a few hours of last daylight.Congratulations Dan. Sounds great. I have been looking for one of those spots for 8 years now. I have visited with and talked to hundreds of land owners in my area. I just can’t seem to find the right one. The County I live in is a little different and access is difficult to secure. Those little spots close to home are great. I hope it produces for you.Z-7 65# 30"

I hear you, I have been looking for quite some time as well. This one actually asked me if I wanted to hunt there. Turns out its a new guy where I work, and he over heard me talking to somebody about hunting and came to me and said I have tons of deer at my place do you want to hunt them. When he told me where he lives, I about fell off my chair!!!!You have to love it when they happen that way. I will be looking forward to hearing about what you see there as you learn the area and hopefully seeing some pictures of what you shoot.Z-7 65# 30"

Good Luck!! [/list]Hey team….. Just a little update for everyone. I will have to go to my property and change my setup around a little. Two weeks ago I injured my back while at work… Siatic nerve is pinched due to a bulged disc……. Anyway, sitting for extended periods if time is excruciating, so my ground blind set up is out!
My plan is to make a trip today with my daughter and move the cameras to another location that has a two person ladder stand already set up. Having the option to stand as well as sit will be much better on my back.
Hope to put some points on the board soon, and some meat in the freezer!… Good luck team!.. Be SafeThat stinks Ken. I hope the back feels better.
I will be out of State for the first couple weeks of our season. But I will get after them in full swing beginning the last week of October and may get out a day or two in between looking for a doe.Z-7 65# 30"
