    Well my friends I am Pumped about this weekend and this next week! First off I am going to lease my own private hunting ground! but before I look at it I am walking it with a friend of mine to determine if it actually holds deer. The layout is great with a Pond, apple trees, acorns, hard woods and crop fields with a back field for a flood plot. Its 131 acres! Also I just ordered a Creed in Lost Camo with 70lb limbs.. Then all next week I will be hunting to try and fill my freezer and put some more points on the board!! I hope you guys are having a good week and have a great weekend!! {#emotions_dlg.mathews}

    Hi there hunt sorry it took me a good minute to get back to you, Ive been crazy at work this past week and trying to get some hunting in which did not happen becuase of the storm that hit my area. I was finally able to go out this morning in -22 degree weather and it was great just being out there! I was planning on sitting in my stand all day, but we had another storm roll in, not that I am complaining about the storms, I love winter storms.. I love watching storms in general, but tomorrow is are last day in the northern zone, so hopefully I can get a doe or buck on the last day!!! {#emotions_dlg.mathews}

    Thanks Hunt, It wasn’t that bad actually. I had the UA cold gear compression gear on and I was layered to well actually! Man I forgot how much of a workout it is walking in knee high snow.. I must say I am very impressed with the UA Brow Tine Hunting Boot. although my feet did get cold for only being 800 gram boots I think they did a great job! I was out for quite a long time.. The last day was not as cold, and I enjoyed my time out there, but it was kinda sad as well. I didn’t get anything, but I did see a lot of sign and of course when I was walking out I saw a lone buck walking but it was to far out and past legal light.. All in all I had a great season, because I can see where I made some rookie mistakes this being my first season and I can learn from that and gain knowledge in my mistakes and grow as a hunter. I always knew its not always about the kill but the experiences that we make and have when we are in the deer woods or hunting abroad that matters the most, but man did I ever want to get a doe or buck my first season hunting.. I am sad that the end of the season has come but very eager for next years season and I what I have learned this year will be applied to next year! For those of you with time still left in the season Happy Hunting.. and good luck! Sorry I wasn’t able to bring points on the board…{#emotions_dlg.mathews}

    Sorry it’s been a while everyone! The holidays were awesome and very busy! I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and that the new year is a prosperous one for everyone. Thank you Hunt, I would have liked to fill my Freezer as well, but there is always next season and spring Turkey! But it’s more about the experience and learning and applying what you learned. I had a blast and I can’t wait to get back at it this coming season! Take care and hope to hear from everyone!

    Hey guys, I’m sorry it has been awhile. I didn’t get a deer this year which is a first in years. I am coyote hunting every chance I can get. I killed a bobcat last week and have 3 coyotes so far this year .

    Yeah I am getting the bobcat mounted. It was a 28 lb male. I keep the coyote pelts but if they have mange I just bury them.
