The small 6 walked by again this afternoon. If he keeps doing this I’m going to end up shooting him, if just to tempting. :-S

Have your camera ready the next time you hunt that spot and it will keep you satisfied a time or two. :thumbup

    How’s everyone doing?
I’ve backed off a little, doing more scouting, moving cameras, so I will be ready for the rut.
My best bucks are showing up in my back yard now.
These stated showing up last year during the late rut in December.
Right now they are not coming in till late, but one is starting to show up earlier around 7:30.
    I’ll post some pics shortly.

Here are the two best one’s at the house, we have an acre lot.
My wife is laying claim on the tall one, but I’m partial to the old bruiser anyway. I just hope one of us has a chance to score one one of these.

Man Kenny those are some nice looking back yard bucks! That second one looks fairly mature. Good luck getting on them to you and your wife.

Had a little 6 in front of me last week as close as 10 yards at one point. Was hoping a doe or his daddy would come by. Saw a bunch of does but no shot opps. Gonna keep going at it though. Have Thursday and Friday off this week so and can’t wait. It will be perfect time for Sandy to pass and the deer to start moving again!

Hi guys….i finally got access to a computer so i figured i would check in. It has been a rough last few days…that was one heck of a storm.

The good news is that my family is fine and no damage to my home…other than loosing power for a bit all is well.

However, my parents were not as fortunate…they have a house and a boat at the Jersey Shore on the water. The house was completely flooded and their boat floated away…not sure where it is at this point. They are on their way back from Florida now and as soon as they are allowed back on the island i’m gonna head down to do what i can to help.

As far as hunting…i’m a little hesitant to head out to my farm which is 50 miles from my home and it is almost impossible to get gas. I heard you have to wait in line for 2-3 hours to get 10 gallons…which does not go to far. I’m hoping this gas problem does not last too long because the rut is just getting going around here…and i can get back at em’. The good thing is that I have until February to chase them…so I still got plenty of time.

    Good luck guys…

On a lighter note guys i killed a giant today. Some serious points for team 17. I can not get the pics to post for some reason. Don’t have a clue why, never had any issues before.
