I haven’t been out much lately but I am off nearly two weeks to bowhunt during the late October and early November. My buddy has a bunch of ground up in northern MO and has invited me up to hunt a few days so hopefully I can put a bruiser down on the ground. If not, I come back home and will hunt around here for a week. Hopefully I can make it happen!Good luck seth and the rest. I will be heading into the timber this weekend with the rifle psychos. Wish me luck.It is now, Vince updated it on friday I think. I went out for a doe on Friday night and let 3 little babies pass. No mother with them.
Joined: 8/29/2005Cold front is setting in tonight and temps are supposed to be right around freezing for the low and in the upper 40′s and lower 50′s for the extended forecast. I’m heading up to northern MO to hunt with a buddy Sunday-Tuesday and then heading to southern MO for a managed bow hunt that me and some buddies got drawn for. If I can’t put a buck down in that time frame I am also off the entire following week to try and get one around home. Wish me luck!Good luck Seth.Got hit with the 1st snow of The year, so for 6″ and climbing. I am pondering heading north into the timber for a doe and if I can cut tracks… Wolf. I’ll keep ya posted.

A Buddy that lives in town said there has been a few decent bucks behind his place just wandering around… I grabbed the bow and headed in.. Walked through His back yard and started down the hill to a small creek.. This guy jumped up 50 yards away on top of the other hill .. I stepped over to get a clear shot while drawing the bow… He went 40 yards and piled up . This is all on a little 4 acre piece of property surrounded by houses and buisiness’ .

So in a nutshell, you went trick or treating in a residential area… then scared him… to death… on Halloween???
sounds like bad luck (team 13) for him;)
Congrats that’s awesome. i still have never gotten a halloween buck yet either. and until My son gets old enough and interested enough to come with me, I don’t see it happening anytime soon.Ok guys as of last tally we are still sitting in the hunt in… 2nd place. Not to shabby but as Dad says… 2nd is kinda like kissing your sister…
