I voted bag just because I can barely pull my Goldtips out of the block I own. It’s been relegated to broadhead only use. I pretty much hate it, and it caused me to shoot less for a while before I bought a bag.
I bought a block . Not the new 4×4, i bought the old white 18×18. Works just fine for me.
Same here… But I got the old white Block – Outfitter – 24″ X 24″ X 18″
A great target, but now would like a smaller portable, so I’ll go to the smaller 4×4 Block next time (If I ever need to replace mine).
I wore out my black hole layer target. What should I replace it with? The morrell bag target, range model, or the block? Your advice please!!
After seeing what my friend has in the block and the thing is only 4 months old I wouldnt waste my time on it.
My dealer sold me one of the Morrell bags and he was shooting into the one at his shop and they have 5 or 10 people over every weekend no one is shooting at a tournament/shoot, and shoot all weekend and hisis 4 yrs old and still looks good and holds the arrows. And it has a bazillion holes and all he has had to do is replace the bag once as the insides were ok but the bag had got damaged by weather.
Besides there are more spots to hit on the Morrells bag.
Okay, I’ve made up mind. I’m going to get the bag target, and I have decided to get a Rinehart 18-1 which is similar to the block. I can have the best of both worlds. That should last me quite some time. Thanks to all for their input.
I like the Block, but they only last about 6 months with just me shooting at it. I shoot way too much! Went through a regular block, the 4×4 block and a bag last year. I also went through a yellow jacket broadhead target, but I had help with that one taking it up to deer camp helping everyone get their broadheads tuned. Blocks get pretty messy when they start get beaten up. Their both good products, just wish they made something that could stand up to a lttle more pounding.
