    I took the Chill X in last night to get the peep changed, and after talking to my dealer, I decided to get a set of 85% mods. All I do is hunt with a bow, and after shooting for a couple of weeks, decided the 85% mods may be better for me.

    I wonder if you’re seeing or feeling a difference in the 75% and 85% in how it draws, holds and shoots?

    I shot the 85% mopds on the demo before I ordered mine, but it was set at 60#, so I will let you all know what I see. I was just really struggling to get used to the bow, so I thought I would give the 85’s a try. There are many factors involved, I was shooting a Z9 @ 65#, then going to the X at 70#, with less let off. There is almost no creep allowed with the 75% mods, so with the extra poundage, it was giving me fits, making me shoot before I am really on target well. I just hope it doesn’t take as long to get the mods in as it did the bow!

    At 70# the let off using the 75% rock is 17.5# holding at full draw and the 85% rocks at 70# is 10.5# holding weight at full draw. That will feel like a world of difference to you. My guess you’ll be able to hold that and get on target very easily. It will be some getting use to it and the follow thru of the release but it will not take much time.

    A common problem with incorrect draw length.

    You might want to experiment with DL rather than letoff to solve the issues. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_peace}

    The draw cycle is so nice with the 85% that I think it really helps with the draw sequence. I find it to be so accurate that I think I can just sight this thing in and hunt. Okay maybe tweak the balance a little, but this is not a bow if set up proper that you struggle with. Maybe have someone snap a picture of you at full draw so that gjarcher can evaluate your draw length.

    For sure for hunting I think 85% is the way to go. Not for the holding weight but the draw cycle.

    I will have someone take a pic, I feel that the draw length is good, it’s not that I was shooting horrible, just not as well as I like.

    Hey guys, I am still waiting on the mods to come in, so I cant give an update yet. Been 2 1/2 weeks on order???? I have been shooting much better with the 75% mods though, I figured out that I was kind of extending my head to get the peep close instead of drawing all the way back hard on the draw stops.

    Where in Indiana are you? I know that Bass and Bucks outside of Wabash has all kinds of mods. My guess would be they might have what you’re looking for unless you’ve got an uncommon draw length.

    IndyChris, I can’t get quote to work for some reason, but I am in Linton In, the dealer is in Bloomfield. I am not sure why it is taking so long, I just assumed that since the Rock Mods are getting such great reviews, everyone is buying them for all of the Chill series bows and production on them can’t keep up???

    Ok, I finally got the 85% mods on Saturday! They are just what I had hoped they would be. Draw is super smooth compared to the 75%, I was shooting the 75% backed down two turns, I went to the max on poundage(70# bow), and I didnt have to adjust my sight at all. I feel I made the right decision being I am a hunter only.

    You can’t beat that draw for hunting. It’s like the Drenalin LD only 10ft/sec faster.
