Here’s one more of my brother’s recipes.
    Also very tasty.[=}=]

    SWEET AND SOUR VENISON

    2 LBS CUBED VENISON
    2 TBS OIL
    ¼ CUP WATER
1 15OUNCE CAN OF PINEAPPLE CHUNKS
    1/3 CUP PACKED BROWN SUGAR
    2 TBS. CORNSTARCH
    1/4 TSP GROUND GINGER
    ¼ CUP CIDER VINEGAR
    2 ½ TBS SOY SAUCE
    SALT
    HOT COOKED RICE

In a large skillet, brown the venison in the oil. Add the water, cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Drain the pineapples, reserving the juice. Combine the sugar, cornstarch, ginger, and salt. Blend in reserved pineapple juice, vinegar, and soy sauce. Add to the venison. Cook and stir until thickened. Stir in pineapple chunks and heat through. Serve over rice.
