Joined: 1/28/2010Uhhh I opened my bow case yesterday while doing some spring cleaning. I took it out just to hold it cause i’ve missed it! I was looking over the string cause I noticed a broadhead that I had tucked under the foam during the season managed to wiggle its way out. I found a little nick in the string by the roller guard so Im going to have to go get a new string now….Stupid mistakes should of just took it out when I got home. I must of forgot about it!
While on the subject to strings, should I just put a Original string back on there or should I invest in a aftermarket string? I don’t mind spending a little extra on my string if there is a better brand. But if stock is just as good as any other ill just put the stock one back on!Worlds best. Or vapor trail. Ive got worlds best on my xtreem and after about 4 months or so there isnt even a blemish on the servings where seperation usually happensThere are a bunch of very good string and cable makers out there these days. All are around $65 for the set. The Mathews made replacement sets are always a very good choice. Any of these you can have made to you choice of colors but not your choice of materials.

Yeah I’m glad I noticed it to cause if that thing blew up in my hand I think I would be to scared to ever draw another bow back, worried it would blow up. I only say I would be scared cause if I didn’t know what caused it and thinking it was a perfectly good bow that blew up and bow I would draw I would be thinking it was gonna blow lol.
Yeah my new strings I would like to go with Red and Black instead of the red and brow colors.
So worlds best or vapor trail is what you guys recommend huh or OEM
Location: LouisianaI used to be a fan of World’s Best because of the quality but the last time I tried to order he wanted $25 for shipping which is RIDICULOUS for an object that weighs a couple of ounces. (even from Canada!)
I ended up going with JBK Bowstrings and have been pretty impressed with the quality and durability of the strings so far. I’ve had them on my bow for about a year.I’ve been satisfied with Winner’s Choice. Take a look at the 8190 material.Leadership is 24/7/365. You are always leading by example ... Joined: 7/21/2004Just ordered a Mathews set for my Z7Mag this afternoon.
Nicked a strand trying to remove a lense from a Speciality Peep a few months ago. Twisted the peep and it slipped out of the string cutting a strand.
Ordered a black and red w black cable. Think it will look ok with a blacked out Z.
