for those few that are having a string end up to the side of the rubber after the shot try putting a brass nock 1/2″ to maybe 1″ below the string suppressor rubber(on the bow string)… basically this changes the string frequency… thou this rarely happens this should solve it…….. give it a try and PLEASE let me know(via PM or phone call) what YOU see…. Thanks

Ok I tried 1/2 in 3?4 in 1in and all in between no luck any more suggestions? Its not a big deal I guess its just I got abt $1200 tied up in me bow and if I wanted problems like this I would have gotten a $300 bow. ](*,)

I’m having the same problem on my Reezen 6.5 i purchased yesterday
02/28/09 it started after about 10 shots. I’m very disapointed. After $800.00 and to have this happen. It act s like the limbs flex and cock to one side. I should have shopped around or something else. I have had good luck with all my other Mathews

If you have a STS type device on your bow. Make sure it is backed off from the string at least 1/8″. I had several bows doing this in my shop except the ones with no sts. We moved them back and then no more problems.

I know what you guys mean, when you spend top dollar for a bow you shouldn’t have to be “rigging” it up so that it works ok.
I tried the knock, didn’t work. Tried the new harder rubber supressor and that hasn’t worked either. Then I read on here that some guys cams are hitting the bottom suppressor at full draw, well guess what…yep mines hitting it also. “check your s out” And the supressor on the bottom has started to rip after 50 or so shots. I’ve always loved shooting my Mathews bows without any troubles what so ever, can’t say the same about this 6.5 thou. Guess I’ll see what they find out at the factory. I would think they will have to redesign the supressor brackets or something.
Thanks Bob for helping to work these kinks out thou. :thumbup

no longer have the problem…..found the solution

make sure your bottom cam is not over-rotated…mine was.. corrected it…no more problem…bow is as quite as a church mouse!

The string suppressor rubber’s to soft its not the bow. I switch the ones on my Black max to my Reezzen 6.5 and the problem is solved. Also my pro shop owner tells me that Mathews had a problem with the new string suppressor rubbers they are to soft. He is waiting for a new shipment to came in hoping they will be harder and replace all the soft string suppressor rubbers with the new ones.

:D When you say overrotated ..just to clear meaning towards the string…or riser which is under rotated?

:D Try Cat whiskers on string…besides preventing the jump they make the bow stealth…

only lose a few fps..benefits outweigh loss
