    Hey Guys,

Does a bow with a stretched string cause the draw length to get longer or shorter. I have a 28″ switchback xt which I have been told needs a new string. I also feel my draw length is too short, not sure if it was always like this or if I grew or if I just want to try out the new creed. lol Thanks!

If anything it’s the string is gonna settle and a little get longer. Still shouldn’t be a huge difference between an old string and a new properly installed string unless the bow was way out of specs, ata, timing etc. Easy way to tell is check specs with the old string on it now.

:D X2..Chances are if it feels consideribly short it will feel very short with new strings and proper spec tune…

I would take it into your mathews dealer and re-check your draw..

Thanks guys. I checked the specs and there right on. 31″ ata and 7.5 brace height. I think I was just never measured correctly as I feel I have to bend my bow arm way too much to get to my anchor.

:D :thumbup bending the arm can make the draw feel a little longer…
remember the bow arm should be straight..just not locked straight …Some may call that a slight bend…
