:D I may be reading this wrong but isnt this targeted to the wrong people..this could fold the sportsmen show …run by outdoor people and companies…

All -you-all in the outdoor adventure world should be getting bonding together and fighting politics instead of each other???

As I say I may be reading this wrong… :whistle

I guess that’s what happens when you ban automatic weapons from a sport show. Glad to see cabelas on the list.

Neil, the exhibitor of the show made the decision to not allow modern sporting rifles at this show. As a way for the vendors, celebrities and manufacturers to band together; several have decided to not attend the show in Harrisburg. All these people not attending is a way for us all to stick together for our Second Amendment Rights. [=}=]

I think you are reading this wrong…it’s showing we aren’t going to bow down to political pressure when it is legal to purchase/own “modern sporting rifles”.

NRA Withdraws from Eastern Sports & Outdoors Show Due to Reed Exhibitions Decision to Ban Modern Sporting Rifles

Due to Reed Exhibitions’ refusal to reconsider their decision to ban Modern Sporting Rifles from the February 2-10 Eastern Sports Show in Harrisburg, PA, the National Rifle Association has decided to withdraw from the show. We had called on Reed Exhibitions to reconsider their decision; unfortunately they have steadfastly refused to do so. As a result, the NRA will not be participating in the upcoming show in Harrisburg or in any other shows hosted by Reed Exhibitions that maintain this policy. We are disappointed that Reed Exhibitions has ignored the concerns expressed by attendees, the outdoor industry and the NRA in not reconsidering their position to ban the display of Modern Sporting Rifles.

I guess that’s what happens when you ban automatic weapons from a sport show. Glad to see cabelas on the list.

Automatic weapons have been banned since the 80′s, they want to ban semi automatic look alike guns that do not function any different than your semi automatic shot gun or a semi automatic .30-06 etc.

There is a big difference between the already banned weapons and what is perceived as an assault weapon carried by our armed forces in the military. See the video below and it will be apparent..

Yep! The show is put on by Reed Exhibitions of the UK. Neil, while you’re a Canadian and may feel some allegiance with the Queen Mum and all, in this case I say SCREW THEM!!!! Them, and their wimpy gun control laws!

For what it’s worth, Mathews, while not signed up to be an exhibitor at the show, supports the boycott! Hooray for Mathews! There’s all kind of stuff on Facebook about this. It seems like most of the heavy hitters have pulled out of this show. As a poster on another forum wrote, “It’s going to be crickets and tumbleweeds!”

It's not how far you shoot, but how close you get.
