I dont know if anyone has picked up a copy of their rules and regulations book yet, but if you pay close attention to the rear cover you will see an advertisement by the NRA for the November 2nd 2010 election. This ad is for a permanant protection of the South Carolina residents protection of their hunting rights. It would keep hunting or fishing from being banned in the State of South Carolina. It is asking you to vote YES. You can also find the subject on the NRA website at http://nraila.org/righttohuntsc/
Anytime ANY state has an opportunity to do something like this, we should all take advantage of it. If you hunt and your not registered to vote , do it now so you can vote on this. Dont fall for the idea that if you register you have to serve jury duty, because thats determined by taxes as well as drivers licenses. So get out there and exercise that right to preserve our hunting freedoms.
Nice post. I agree, every sportsman in S.C. registered to vote should make it to the polls on Nov. 2. A great opportunity to insure our children can enjoy the same sport we do instead of having to read about how things use to be.
Every citizen should be registered to vote, and actually VOTE….
Good post Jake. [/quote:25lss0w3]No kidding man. Ive got a friend and a grandmother that wont register to vote. Grandmother has never registered and she is in her late 60s, she was “didnt want to serve on jury duty” , yet has been called to do so before. My friend didnt want to because he was afraid of getting drafted. Its like people hear these things and they dont register, just perpetuating the cycle.
The sad part is, they were the first ones to get upset at the election of our new prez. Now dont get me wrong ALOT of people dont vote because they become so overwelmed by the process of politics, the campaigns, debates, and actual voting process, BUT for those out there who arent, there is nothing to it. If you know what kind of values your looking for, or the ideals that you live by, just vote a straight ticket and hope for the best. Its better than doing nothing at all.
