    Yep. We’ve definitely lost some very interesting and knowledgeable members. Some may return. But others, like Neil, who have left for reasons beyond their control simply cannot be replaced. We definitely need to recruit more Canadians with updated browsers and permeable firewalls! {#emotions_dlg.mathews_big_smile}

    Are you serious?  You want more Canadians?{#emotions_dlg.mathews_shocked}  Some moral boundaries just shouldn’t be crossed…{#emotions_dlg.mathews_not_talking}

    Yes, but I’m more concerned with morale than morals. If we focused on the latter, there would only be two of us on this forum…..and I ain’t saying who my fellow member would be. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_not_talking}

    I know what you all are saying. Here is a good example of only many things lost. This is a link to a thread that I made when I was in the tech department. http://mathewsinc.com/forums-home/topic/adjusting-t-quiver-for-shorter-axle-to-axle-bows/ As you can see all of the pictures are lost as they are on many of the tech support threads. Without the pictures the threads are worthless and may as well be removed. There was a lot of time and work that went into those threads by many. The more I look, the more I see that is lost and gone forever. Thetechnical and technical fact threads could just be eliminated as most are worthless. I think that was some good things lost in the change over and do not know if it can be recovered or not.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_brick_wall}

    Agreed Ron!! I was looking to point someone to one of those tech threads then noticed the images gone, not worth anything without them.

    Why Thanks Larry!  I knew who you were talking about but in addition to my outstanding moral character, my greatest quality is probably humility, so I wasn’t going to mention it. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_laughing}  I also wouldn’t dare mention what is likely your greatest shortcoming…….the eraser you use on your scorecard.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_taunt}

    I should stop now. I’ve used my quota of 2-syllable words for today.

    I don’t need an eraser because I am very fortunate to live in a country where the Royal Canadian Golf Association clearly states that every golfer is allowed 13 mulligans per round (or 18 if you are having a bad day). {#emotions_dlg.mathews_smile}

    Ok so I guess I’m addicted to this place I can’t leave.Although I’m not a fan of the new format I can deal with it.The thing bothering me like statedriller said the forum it’s self is just not the same the atomosphere,the drop in posting some of the long haul members moving on ,I don’t know who all has left but the 2 key ones sticking in my head is Big Al and Neil. We need to figure out as a group (forum Family) how to get things moving again.Maybe once all the bugs get tweaked members will return.

    They only reason Neil is not here is because of computer issues.  Not all his fault either, mostly having to due with the forum upgrades.

    Kick me out, smack me – what ever {#emotions_dlg.mathews_shame_on_you} but I’m gonna say it anyway.

    As a former IT director, it was my experience that you can’t make everybody happy with a software upgrade.

    The new stuff doesn’t always work with the old machines and sometimes with the new ones. It’s like a marriage – give and take (and sometimes you have to GIVE a little more).

    Some people are willing to work it out – others not so much.

    Adjustments will be made, but it takes time and is not always as simple to do as one would think.

    Suggest ya all put your big boy/girl pants on and get on with it. Give it some time to let whom-ever is responsible to work the bugs out.

    Firewalls can be worked on to pass whatever info you want to go through (not bashing Neil – he’s been very good to me) but I suggested that idea to him directly – he’s free of course to do whatever he wants. We’ve discussed it briefly and that’s that.
    Do miss him and others.

    Some folks are not willing to go the extra mile to get something to work especially if they do not feel comfortable with some areas of technology.

    If the screen is too bright, you can adjust the brightness easily. I know it’s a pain but if it’s worth it to you – go for it.
    If  editing doesn’t work correctly (which it doesn’t)  just deal with it – it’s an issue of mine but I’m working at it.

    I’m sure ya all get the idea.

    Sorry for the rant – may have said too much – don’t mean to offend but . . .  I’m old and old people say too much sometimes {#emotions_dlg.mathews_brick_wall}

    Life is what you make it – I like lemonade.

    I agree for the most part and appreciate the IT perspective.  I certainly agree that you can’t make everyone happy……It’ll be a’ight.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_peace}

    I think BlackDog raises some valid points. Nevertheless, let’s hope that those in charge are, in fact, working on some of the issues raised by members. What’s the point of having an integrated, marketing forum for Mathews if the end result is losing people like Neil and other very knowledgeable members whose advice and assistance have helped many  members to deal with issues/questions about Mathews’ bows?  I may be wrong, but I do believe this forum has attracted hundreds of prospective customers to Mathews precisely because people realize they can obtain sound advice and assistance with any problems they may experience with what amounts to a large investment of $$ in a new bow.

    There’s still plenty here to party.  If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.  Aside from the complaints about the site, one thing that I’ve noticed is that the habitual violators of common courtesy don’t seem to be around.  I think we can thank our Mods for that.  Despite what is, this is still a great place to be!  Thanks to all of the techno-wizards that help the rest of us learn.
