Ok, here is a closer look at a 72 lb Drenalin backed off to 62lb shooting an arrow at 305 fps. This damper has the Aluminum insert as shipped from the factory.

Sweet Video. I was wondering what the difference would be between the aluminum and the old, thick rubbered brass ones.

I was playing with the test risers the other day and dropping them onto carpet. I compared the old dampers with the new thinner ones and older thick brass ones. With the old ones the riser was dead. THe new ones allowed for a good amount of ring, even with the brass.

Anyways, can you still get the old rubber dampers with brass weights?

I have some of the brass weights. Wolud they increase or decrease movement? Would felt vibration be less?

Heavier damper will absorb more of the KE trasmitted to the riser, so felt vibration would be less.

Currently using the Carbide dampers in my Apex, a bit heavier in the hand but noticibly quieter [=}=]
