Was down by a lake today taking pictures of some ducks that are inhabiting the area when I saw this lone piece of ice sitting on the lakes edge.

Stunning photo. I’d like to hear some more info about the settings you shot that at.

That photograph is very captivating. A work of art. The reflection of light on both the ice and the water is beautiful. :thumbup :thumbup

Great photo. Needs a caption though. How about:

“I’m meltingggggggg” as spoken by the witch in the Wizard of Oz.

    or maybe:

“All that remained of the Terminator 2 android was this ant-shaped particle discovered by none other than Bigfoot.”

or one of my all-time favorites:

    “You talkin’ to me?!”

"Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learnt something from yesterday." John Wayne

That is a great shot. Great eye to catch something like that. Love the contrasts of value and textures. :thumbup
