I you have the means then treat yourself. It’s a better bow in every aspect. If you have to sacrifice to do it then keep what you already have. [=}=]

I didn’t vote because I think you should shoot the new Z7 then make up your mind. Don’t let everyone’s else tell you what to sell or buy [=}=]

    Agree 100%. :thumbup

Now, if you were looking to buy either the DXT or the Z7, I would suggest the Z7. [=}=]

You have to do what’s best for you. If you go shoot the Z7 though you will be pleasantly surprised. It is very Smooth.

I got a DXT 2 months ago. The bow shop guy asked what I was using the bow for. I replied, Mainly hunting Deer & Elk. He was the one who set me up with the bow. I ask my self every now and then, if this is the unit for me. It is a sweet little bow, that I am getting use to. It groups better then my old bow. So thats why I have it. I did not vote ether. To be honest to you, Are you driven by the new and in proved. If you have this other bow, Why did you choose it !!! . The best add on to a bow is the archer behind it. From Larry Wise’s page’s. Good luck archer, From DXTMATHUS

I dont see how th z7 is a better bow than the DXT. Only difference really is how the cables are handled and its only a lil faster, 6fps. I luv my Dxt its perfect for me, smooth draw, small and easy to maneuver in a climber. too many ppl get new bows just to have the new toy. IF Dxt works for you and you knocking down deer, y switch. I’m new to hunting and i dropped a knot on my DXT and as such i aint looking at a new bow, nor do i need to. Works for me the way i NEED it too.

I should have prefaced that I first started bowhunting in 1978, and shoot quite a bit. Since Mathews first came out with their line of bows, I’ve been shooting nothing but Mathews. I worked part-time at the local archery shop in the early 90′s, and every time a new bow came out, I bought it. At one point I had four Mathews bows.

I will probably get the new one, but some people were asking if I wanted to sell my DXT, and I’m thinking about it to help fund the new bow, kids in college and such, wife says to buy new, sell something old. This is the reason I was asking…..

Don’t part with something you like for the unknown. But that said, once you shoot the Z, the DXT will hit the road ;)

Hey muzzleblast525, I killed a deer last Thursday with my Feather Lite. Yes. Very old Mathews. Deer did not care it is DEAD. JMHO. One does not need the latest and greatest to enjoy hunting. :D

I would keep the Dxt, and save up a little each week, until I had enough for the Z7.
