A taser to speed up a ball game?
There’s a few pitchers need it then.

Sounds like most of you think it’s an appropriate punishment. Don’t think the taser’s purpose is punishment. Don’t think the Leo’s job is to punish.

Field full of profesional athletes and wannabees and nobody can catch the 17 year old kid. Sad. What a bunch of pansies.[/quote:10ueyq5l]
Inclined to agree on this one, honestly how far was he going to go? [=}=][/quote:10ueyq5l]

Would you have felt differently if he had made it to the bull pen and dropped a grenade, stick of dynamite, or pulled a pistola?

Truth is that you have no REAL idea of his intentions until you have him on the ground and cuffed.

    I think it was warranted….[/quote:10ueyq5l]

Feeling paranoid Jason, or just aggressive? :^O

Neither. If I were feeling aggressive I would have said they should have shot him :D .

I’ve been tazed a few times, and all I have to say about it is that he’s lucky they didn’t hit him with OC spray ;)

Lets change the scenerio here, lets say someone jumped the fence in your backyard, the police were called and the person still wouldnt leave. They knew they didnt belong there, it was premeditated, and now the police are there hes running around like a chicken. what do you think they are going to do? They did exactly what they are trained to do. I dont think he did anything wrong. :thumbup =D/>” title=”Applause” /></div>

    :^O :^O

    Because she didn’t resist. ;)

Some good laughs here for sure. :thumbup But we’d be singin a different tune if some loony raced on the field and stabbed or shot an athlete. Can U imagine the fall out with that, LEO’s can simple not afford to assume there is no eminent danger. They have to act in the interest of safety for everyone. Tase’n the punk a lil overkill, maybe. But the act may prevent it from happening again. Unlike how the anointed one is dealing with terrorism. ;)

if you run, then you get tasered or beat.

taser is less of the 2 evils. dont run from the cops. i hope they charged him with obstruction too.

    so in sum,

    tase

I agree with Clay as the taser is a little harsh!

In the pictures I have seen the kid is smiling from ear to ear so what did the police officer see!

I see an over weight cop that cannot run in the pictures also!

A solid 90% of LEOs cannot run down a 17 yr old athletic kid like this nor should they have to. He’s singing a different tune today, “I fought the law and the law won!” If he doesn’t respect authority, maybe he’ll respect the taser. Again I say tase him! =D/>” title=”Applause” /> <img src="Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean.
