My last two Mathews bows have sported Schaffer drop rests, but I haven’t seen or heard much about them. Forum search doesn’t have any recent posts. Google search found their website, but its not very good, to be honest.

Anyone using a current version (Gen II) of their rest? Thanks in advance for you input.

Lil KTM uses one on his Craze. Just what exactly are you looking for?

i used to use their drop rest and was very satisfied.i wanted a full capture rest and have used QAD since then.schaffer has a new containment rest called the opposition, check it out.they make quality products, the new rest hasn’t gotten alot of press but does work well.some don’t like the looks.

They just seem to have fallen off the radar – just wanted to see if anyone was using.

    Oh, I got ya. :thumbup
Yeah, I had bought a used Mat II years ago and it just sat in my junk drawer. I dug it out and set it up on lil KTMs bow. Im real pleased with it. If a 12 year old can use it without the arrow falling off, then its got good enough containment. [=}=]

I have them on 3 of my bows. Rock solid never had an issue. Hope I can still get the Gen II when I buy my next bow.

I like the simplicity of the Gen II. Super quiet and reliable. I live in Alaska so anything that is simple works better in the constant rain, ice, and snow then stuff with too many mechanics and moving parts.
There’s a lot of good rests that work fine. I just like to keep it basic. Makes it easy to repair if something does go wrong.
