OK, since the new Rage heads are only 100gr heads, I am passing on them. I want to shoot 125′s this year. They fly better and pack more punch. I have narrowed my choices between the Steelhead 125 and the Grim Reaper RazorCut 125. I know there are a lot that shoot the Grim Reapers, but I want to know finer points of each. Shootability, Penetration etc.

I taken deer with both. My onlu complaint with the Steelheads is I didn’t see a full width enterance wound. I do with the Reapers. That is the one and only reason that I switched.

Vince, have you ever had the blades on the Grim Reapers not fully open. They say they are some of the fastest opening, are they up to par with say the Rage or Rocky Mtn. Snyper with rear deployment?

Jeff if you decide to shoot the Grim Reapers you will have to add the weight collar to the 100 grain head, it is not a specific 125 head AND I would go with the RazorTip and not the RazorCut…JMO

I know I would have to add the collar, and I had planned to buy the Razorcut in stead of RazorTip.

Why do you want the newer style RazorCut? There has been tip problems with those lately…. [-(

So your saying to buy the Razor Tips where the 3 little blades come out of the tip instead of the RazorCut. Everyone always suggested the RazorCut. What kind of problems have occured?

I haven’t tried the Grim Reaper. I truly believe the Steelhead will penetrate as well as a fixed head. If you can get the Rocket Steelhead over 280 f.p.s. you should have a good entry wound. :2cents

It won’t be over 280fps. It will be more like 265fps.
