My hunting buddy came out yesterday to shoot – first time he’s picked up a bow since Nov. Didn’t take him more than a couple of shots to get back on the mark.

We moved back to 40 yards and he put one in the kill zone pocket (heart shot) on my deer target. I let one fly and heard it hit. I’ve broken nocks on my ACC’s and broke another one yesterday but I’ve never RH one of my ACC’s.

I said ‘oops’ and my buddy wondered why.

Funny thing was we were just talking about splitting arrows before that happened as I had just broken the nock on one of my ACC’s.

I feel I should replace his arrow – what do you guys think. He says no.

I’m still trying to get the pig farm smell out of my boots :^O Hoping the sun will dry them and help to get rid of some of the smell. Scrubbed them down again and also used baking soda paste. Getting better but not scent free yet. ](*,)

It happens, no reason you should replace it.

If he doesn’t care about his arrow then don’t worry about replacing it. As another guy already said, where are you going to buy just one arrow anyhow?

The Pro shop where I buy my Mathews bows will sell them one at a time and I can buy them in any quanity from a shop that’s going out of business. Just takes time to go to either place. About an hours drive round trip.

If it happened to one of my arrows I would not let someone replace it. If I did it to someone’s arrow I would offer to replace it.

There’s also the unwritten rule of any RH outside of the bullseye to be replaced and anything inside is fair game.

    NO! @#$% happens…

“Robin Hood’s” are rare to say the least. Congratz!! I would save it and put it up on the wall in a Game/Hunting room.

I have three, all old aluminum hunting arrow’s, one was with a broadhead. I have them hangin on the wall next to my mounts.

This is what we have done too, when we are at a shoot.

[font=comic sans ms]HI Guys, target shooter perspective, no I’ve never heard of anybody replacing a robin hooded arrow. But I know I’d be mighty ****** if Hubby got one of his new X10′s hooded esp since replacement cost is upward of 60$ AU. Of course that is the price you pay for accurate shooting and why we find cheaper second hand arrows on eBay…. :^O :^O Arrows are like bullets for a gun, cept reuseable, gotta be thankful for that ya…. Around here it`s hard to find anywhere that sells the in 1/2 dozens unless you go to Wal Mart. Now keep in mind it has been a VERY long time since I have bought arrows form an archery shop. [=}=]

Offer to Replace it…but I think it’s mostly an understood thing with archers. Arrows are damaged like that all the time. Heck we Robin Hood our own arrows all the time.
