The Forum will again be updated starting 18FEB 2013 … hopefully much smoother than the last time.

FWIW, the poll I took indicated that 28% of members are still running Windows XP sp3 and IE8 or below. Last time, the browser would hang and freeze, improperly display the web page, etc.

The only solution is to change the browser to one that will support HTML5 (IE8 – IE6 only supports upto HTML4). Also, the browser must be able to handle all the new XTML tags, etc.

You can test your browser’s capability by going to the International browser test site: http://www.acid3.acidtests.org

If your browser scores less than about 95%, you might consider upgrading or changing browsers.

For those who can’t upgrade beyond IE8, consider Mozilla Firefox or Safari, both will score 100.

    … hope this helps. [=}=]

I’m hoping that it’s possible for the forums guys to send out a broadcast e-mail to all the current registered users to notify them of the change coming Monday. The sticky just went up Tuesday and a week isn’t very much time to notify all the current users of a major pending change.

Wow! You had me worried as I’m one of those dinosaurs still running XP! However I do use Firefox for my browser.

It's not how far you shoot, but how close you get.

Wow! Thanks Brian!. :thumbup :thumbup I just upgraded from IE8 to IE9 after reading your post. I didn’t realize that the new site wouldn’t work with IE8. It received a score of 25 on the acid test. Now, with IE9 it scores 100. Yippee![/size:3pmfuzdy]

Thanks for the heads up gjarcher. I loaded Firefox on the laptop and the iPhone runs Safari so I should be set.
