I have been using the 5575 GT Expedition Hunters for about a year and a half and I really like them. I am just having a problem. I am having them break for no reason at all. One of them it broke coming out of my bow and then the other was broke when I walked up to the target. Has anyone else had any problems with their GT’s? I know that I am shooting the correct arrow for my poundage. Your thought are appreciated.

I’ve been shooting the GT Pro Hunter 55/75’s for 2 years now.Haven’t had any problems with them breaking, except when I miss badly and hit something I shouldn’t. #-o

Other than that, they’ve gone thru 6 deer and a turkey with no problems. [=}=]

I’ve been using Easton Axis ST 400 and haven’t had a problem with them. I’ve missed my target once at 30yds and shot through a 1.5″ pvc pipe, through a 5″ foam backing, into plywood at 40yds and the arrow still had no damage. So I’ll stick with these arrows [=}=]

Dc, I cant speak for hte expeditions. I have used the XT hunters, XT pros, and ultralight, and ultralight pros.. I never shoot at the same spot. I check my arrows often using the flex twist check. If an arrow hits something hard I make a mark on the fletch so I know its not virgin. I have been amazed at how much these arrows can take. Durability has been great compared to ACC”s or aluminums.. I am having a bit of a problem getting good ultralgiht shafts at this time.

Axis… :thumbdown . I was using the 7595, but I was over spinned and snapped some. I tried some CE’s and they didn’t fly well at long ranges. I went with the 5575’s and I gotta say hands down I am getting the best flight with them

I switched for GT Prohunters to Carbon Tech arrows. I was having problems with the GT’s splitting ends and nocks not fitting as tightly as I would have liked.

I voted Beman, but I also use CF Radial X Weaves.
Anyway, I just don’t think that arrow selection should be a popularity contest. If you’re unhappy with Goldtips, make the switch to something else.
I tried GT XT Hunters once. They flew like crap for me. They were the right spine, length, FOC, etc. But they just wouldn’t group as well as the Bemans or X Weaves. So that was the first and last time I used GTs.
BTW, I ended up giving those arrows to my buddy (who uses GTs) and he still uses them and raves about them. Go figure…

Do not twist your arrows to get them out of 3D targets.
