Joined: 7/26/2005I’ll come out and say it, I only shot it a few times today and I hate to say it but I dont like it so far, maybe if I was shorter and had a short draw length. It just doesnt feel right for me. And no I dont understand after being the diehard SQ2 guy and all.
It did take me three times at the shop with the Drenalin before I bought it.

Joined: 11/7/2007Lastnight i shot the Ld and the DXT. To me they both are good bows for their purpose. Dxt is tiny but with alot of power. The LD is a smooth drawing bow. Perfect for targets. BUT…. my buddy DreN..wow im not sure if you can beat him. you can stretch him and shrink him if you want. but he is hard to beat in my opinion. so after i shot the other 2 i wont be getting rid of him anytime soon. lastnight i went hunting and harvested my biggest buck ever with him. a perfect 10 pt. i had alot of people look at him lastnight and they said he will make the P & Y books. but the shot i made on him was what was amasing. my DREN performed awesomely. ill have pics up sometime soon. for those who would want to see. have a nice day guys. May all of your arrows fly straight and true!!!
Joined: 4/13/2007I do not care for short bows (shorter than 33 inches) but I shot the DXT out of curiosity. I was amazed. It really changed my mind about short bows being accurate. The draw was very smooth and probably smoother than my Drenalin. The bow was very fast. The two things that surprised me the most was how well it balanced in my hand and how quiet it was. WOW. I do not like top heavy bows and this bow was perfectly balanced with a very short and light stabilizer (carbon impact) The bow was extremely quiet. It is the quietest Mathews I have shot to date. It would make a great hunting bow and perfect for the blind. I am not ready to give up my Drenalin but would love to have a DXT for hunting from the Double Bull. I would get one but the cost is too much to be able buy it and to also afford the divorce attorney.
Joined: 2/18/2005I was not real crazy about it, just too short for my liking. Draw was awesome, noise and balance as expected, just too dang short.
I have always beef partial to 33″-36″ ATA range, looks like I may be keeping the Dren and adding a Prestige
Joined: 11/12/2007I liked it,it was a little hard pulling but it was fast and virtually shock free.
If I had the extra cash it would make an excellent little hunting bow.
Joined: 2/4/2007of all you people who actually did shoot it , at what distance did you shoot it ? 10 , 20 , 30 yds , or in the shop at a bag . for those that shot it at 30yds. how well did it hold ? if it had sights on it , did the bubble level hold level for you ? lets have some good input here . my local dealer won’t have a cam in my size for probably 2 wks , so fill me in.

The bow holds excellent, I have shot it out to 40 yards and it groups every bit as good as any bow i have ever had, the wall is solid. When its at full draw it feels like a 35-37″ ata. You will love it
My dealer DID NOT have a Demo yet!!!!!
Did this happen anywhere else???[/quote:2d5gkau2]
Neither dealer in my area got one because they didn’t meet sales volume requirements. I have to go 90 miles to a “box” store to shoot one and that’s not going to happen. Every dealer should have got one..JMO.Shot the new DXT at our shop on Friday and I gotta say I like it alot. It points really well. Picked it up and shot 2 2″ groups with it. I could hold that thing at full draw all day, and ours is cranked all the way up and reads 74lbs at a 29″ draw. I really like the draw cycle how when it turns over and then nothing but a nice flat wall. We’ll see how long I stick with the Prestige I just bought… Tough decision huh?Mathews MR5 29"@70lbs 620gr @ 261fps Victory VAP250 w/ SS insert & 190gr Steelforce Single Bevel African Phathead 22.75% FOC Elite Judge 29"@70lbs "When it comes to hits try for the best but prepare for the worst."
