    Me and my wife are looking to get a new TV. Kind of a Christmas present to each other. Anyway we aren’t sure witch to get LCD or plasma. I figured you guys could give me an idea of witch is better.

    I’m gonna be looking for a LCD. I understand that they run cooler and last a little longer than the plasma. At least that is what I’m told. :-B

    I have 2 54″(i think) plasmas and 1 42″ lcd, I prefer the pic on the plasmas greatly….

    DLP. Unless you’ll be hanging it on the wall you’ll save a ton of money per inch and have a great picture. [=}=]

    I wondered the same thing, and did quite a lot of research actually. The Plasmas will get much richer darker colors, but the LCDs are cheaper and the technology is catching up so that there isn’t that much difference between them. I bought an LCD, and it is what I would recommend [=}=]

    The ones that have a an “S” seem to get good ratings sony samsung sharp…
    If you are going to keep this awhile go with 120 refresh rate
    I can wait till my taxes get back dooing the same in a 46″ :thumbup

    I love my Samsung DLP. You can get a much larger picture for the money purchasing a DLP.

    Plasma between the two. The picture quality is much better IMO!

    But like Mark suggested, DLP is another good opportunity! :thumbup

    LCD, plasma will burn in images that are left on the screen like the old projection tv’s ust to do. doesnt matter witht he lcd no burn in. :thumbup

    I think I need to take some lessons here. Tell me how you got your wife to agree on a LCD or Plasma for Christmas? :D :^O
