I hunt with whatever is legal during that particular season. [=}=]

This is what I do. I think in a few years I’ll probably phase out gun hunting altogether, at least for my regular deer hunts.

Love to bow hunt but it’s closed during gun season so I’ll put em down with my .308 and that gives me another buck tag too. Going to take up muzzleloader this year.

i used to hunt w/ shotgun also but w/ indiana only allowing 1 buck a season i’ve been tagged out in october for 3 years in a row. honestly i don’t get as pumped when harvesting a deer with a gun as i do a bow anyways. :D

I do it all. I am fortunate that I live in a state where archery season runs from the first of Oct. until the 15th. of Jan. We can carry a bow as well as gun during the gun season. I took a nice 9 pt. last year at 250 yards with my 30:06. I would say my preferred method is archery but I am not above using my encore muzzle loader or rifle during those seasons.

I love bowhunting. I’ve had a hard time lately getting drawn for a tag for firearm season on public land. This year I got lucky and got a Muzzelloader only tag. The best part is so did my brother !! Hopefully we will have some luck :thumbup

I prefer hunting with my bow.Several reasons.

    A) it’s warmer during archery season.
    B) you have the woods pretty much all to yourself.
C)the seasons here for bow are 5 months long.
D)Not to take anything away from hunting with a gun,but to me getting a deer to come within 20 yards or so is a rush that can’t be beatWhen you shoot a deer from 100 yards away…well it just dosen’t do it for me.[/quote:2qdlx4wj]

took the words right out of my mouth. :thumbup

As long as I can fill my tags with a bow, that’s what I do. If I still have some deer to kill as the season starts to close…Bang! Bang!
