He rode for the brand… they killed his boss, he tried to kill them. if his faction had won, he’d have been a hero instead of an outlaw…

I agree with JAVI!! :thumbup No one will ever know the real truth!! [/color:1rut04qt][-X[/quote:1rut04qt]

I don’t necessarily agree with Javi’s assertion. But if you’re right about the “real truth”, that’s one more reason not to pardon him. [=}=]

if you read all of this, how could you think the kid was a cold blooded killer?[/quote:1wm8hgyq]

You said the other information about the kid was “written by corrupt people”. What makes you think this website holds the “truth”? Another attempt at “revisionist history” IMO. I’ve read quite a bit on the kid and I’ll probably read some more but there’s nothing here to change my mind without checking all her sources which I’m sure she figures few will do. Well then nobody will ever know the truth…. Because the stuff you may have read on him may have been made up by haters… Not saying the guy was an angel, he wasn’t… but nobody will ever, truly know what he did in his entire lifetime. [=}=]

Now that is very likely true and to some degree that is my point. We continue to have people who to try to re-write history and “romanticize” the lives of cold-blooded killers in some cases and re-cast them as victims. Some folks have a desire to pollute the debate with an overload of information so you have to choose what to believe. Bottom line for me is that you don’t pardon someone like William Bonney on supposition. IMHO you must have an air-tight case to do so, otherwise you risk further injustice for no good reason. This is not the first time something like this has come up and it won’t be the last. [=}=]
