Well I sat on stand for over 10 hours in monson like rain, 50 degrees and wind gusts up to 25 mph. While I saw no deer, it was nice just to be back in the woods.

    Monday will be back in the 80’s……. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

I’m across the mountains in Rockingham county. When we got out of the truck this morning it was 42 degrees with rain blowing sideways. I was with a buddy of mine and I was going to tape him shooting his foirst deer (or so we hoped). We looked at each other and said “hey, it’s opening day and we’re already here”. He missed a big forkhorn standing still broadside at 12 yards 45 minutes into the season :smt30 :smt05 and then shot a little doe ten minutes later. :thumbup Just for the 90 minutes we were outside we had gotten soaked and chilled to the bone, but it was a fun hunt and we got some PRICELESS video. :thumbup

The forecast for the entire western half of the state looks AWESOME for like 8 out of the next ten days. :D
