Joined: 11/7/2008As stupid as the law is you had to tag that doe before shooting that buck. Illegal. You might wanna know the regs before posting on a public forum

Joined: 6/19/2008Thanks all. OHWoodsman, I did have her tagged, since she fell right by my stand I wanted to get her tagged and moved off the trail because it was still cold enough that I did not worry about dressing her out, so I left all of my equipment in the tree and wanted to go back up to hunt. After seeing my exit on the shot, I was thinking it may have been a bit back so I decided I was going to get down to get her dressed out and go back out for the afternoon. So to clarify, it was when I was getting ready to get down to dress her that he walked in on almost the same trail. I know the regs and game laws, I am a legal hunter and follow all rules, I just did not think it was necessary to throw in all of the extra wording, but there it is, just so it is clear because like I said, I follow all rules and game laws hunting.

If you read his above post, I think he’s clarified the situation. We've taken far too many pucks in the head.Congratulations on both. I would have guessed the buck in the low 180’s. That’s a tremendous bow kill, and their seems to always be someone trying to steel the joy of a great achievement. Enjoy it to the fullest because it doesn’t come to often. All it amounts to is being jealous. God bless you and your family and merry Christmas.

Joined: 6/19/2008Thanks guys. I just don’t understand why some feel the need to try to destroy other people’s threads when they don’t know the full story. I hunt 100% legally and know the regs and have been doing so since I was 12. I just didn’t see it necessary to include all the little details because I didn’t think it would get picked apart like that. But yes, I guess it comes down to jealousy and people trying to impose on others. Thanks again.
