Nope, no pics, but with our firearms season opening on Saturday, today was a great day to drop a doe. I’m hunting a semi-residential area and have at least 35 evening hunts in, usually about an hour and a half. I have not seen one deer in that time slot. Mornings haven’t been much better, but in this area, you never know. Well, a doe took a wrong turn first thing this morning and most of it is in the freezer now. I’ve taken a number of deer with my Conquest, but this was my first with my Switchback. Every now and then something goes right. Good luck to all through the rest of the season.

I work in Rochester. One of my cohorts works out of Buffalo. He says in his neighborhood there is a lot of sightings and activity, But south of there they have some trail cams up. Over 250 flicks and all of the same 8 bucks. Not one doe or fawn. Sounds like trouble. Another bud has 100 acres in Cohocton. When I get a report from him, I’ll fill you in. It may not be for a few weeks. Good luck!
