Count me as one unimpressed. Not because the ad isn’t good per se, but because it ultimately supports the very philosophy that the president wants to propagate: namely that if we want our children to be protected, then we need more soldiers and officers, not responsible civilians, taking care of our kids. The idea that we need armed guards in every school chips away at the very foundation of what we thought we were supporting with the NRA, that a responsible, armed citizenry is the best way to keep people safe AND free.

i agree to a point. We don’t need a police state, or another federal agency created to protect kids. But i’m all for the sherrifs office being on gaurd, or an entity where due process in involved in the event of an incident. With federal entities incidents, there is no due process, the creating a police state. So i think the n r a needs to use some wisdom so what they want to create doesn’t become a monster. The point is, our founding dads already created the sherrifs dept that can be in place where needed.

The POTUS doesn’t want armed law enforcement in schools; he stated that he didn’t believe the was the answer.

I’m good with it. Sometimes the truth hurts. I don’t deny that the president’s family deserves protection, but so does mine. This “do as I say, not as I do” garbage doesn’t sit well with me.

The conservatives have been far too spineless for my taste. You dont stop a bully by appeasing him. I’m happy to see the NRA throw a few well-deserved punches. If the libs are going to dish it out, they better learn how to take it.
