I’m looking for information regarding the process a non-resident needs to go through to apply for and draw a tag?

Any and all information will be greatly appreciated!

Apply in May and they draw in June. There are always plenty of left over tags as well . This year over 700. I have drawn a tag last 5years without issue and this year bought a leftover tag. Tags were $371 and license is $72 at KDWP

So if my group doesn’t draw, how do we go about scoring left over tags?

Are the tags zone specific? I thought I had seen they were. I would think that may create a challenge finding a place.

In Kansas when a nonres. draws you get the unit you put in for and a unit next to that unit plus you get unit 19 ….So this year I have unit 18, unit 16 and unit 19 to archery hunt in.
