    Why won’t my nockturnals turn on when shot out of my Switchback?

    Why won’t my nockturnals turn on when shot out of my Switchback?

    Most of mine worked fine out of the box. Forgive the following question, but I have to ask. (I’m assuming the nocks are new)
    Do they light if you take a butter knife (or other dull tool) and push in the ‘plunger’ in the nock? I’ve had a couple of new ones that were ‘stiff’ but after manually lighting them a few times they worked fine.

    Obviously, if they don’t light manually they’re defective in some way or have a dead battery. Only other thing I can think of is your serving is too large for the nock throat to fully seat the nock on the string- not likely but possible I suppose.

    Other than the above – I’m out of ideas. {#emotions_dlg.eusa_think}

    If you just bought them, there’s a good chance it’s because they are junk. When Rage bought them, they ruined them.

    Funny, I have many of the new ones and IMO they are far better and they light up way better. I like the green ones. They may be old or left on…?

    My Buck killing skills are sick – too bad there not contagious!!!

    I love my Nocturnals, and they are relatively new.  No problems whatsoever out of mine (or my dad’s)

    I didn’t have any problems with any of the old or new until the other day. Was shooting some broad heads with some older green ones. First shot with one was fine. Second shot, it didn’t light. Took my knife and turned it on and off a few times. Works fine now.

    Wondering if the ‘plunger’ gets dirty or gums up with bow wax????

    I know some of the new ones I just bought were stiff at first but they work great now.

    PS- I have green/red/pink. The pink glows the brightest.

    the only issues we have seen with them are; they have an issue with packaging, not always the same size in the three packs. example, the new blue ones that we just got in the other day,we installed (attempted) in some beamans,using the “s” nocks, one of the three fit,other two were loose. grabbed a set of reds and they all fit fine. this isn’t the first time,there have been many sent back because of this issue. quality control is an issue with anything produced overseas. as far as the not lighting issue, i would tend to agree with the idea that there may be a serving fit issue or tight loop squeezing the nock before it’s fully seated.

    I use to shoot them. When Rage bought them they started failing. The ears on the nocks would crack off after a few shots. I examined three packs of three, holding them up to a back light and could see fractures in them right from the package. When I contacted them they acted as if they could care less. Stay away from them. Use Lumenok, they are the best ones one the market. I have shot them ALL.None are without some minor issue. When properly installed Lumenok is the most dependable. Eric at Lumenok is second to none when it comes to customer service.
