Checked the specs on my helim today and was only getting 67 pounds with the limbs maxed. So I put twists in the cable and could only get it to 70 without putting too many twists in the cable and string to keep everything else in check. Does it sound like my i need a new set of strings and cables? They are 2 years old but are in good shape any thoughts?

Were it me I wouldn’t worry too much.  Sure, you might get a couple more pounds out of your rig  by adding a little more twist.  Rule of thumb is not to exceed 1 twist per inch in the string or cable.  If you leave as is and you still continue to lose a little weight I would change them out.
