I am having issues with some weird arrow flight. The arrows are doing like a circle. I never really noticed it till I put broadheads on. Tried 3 different broadheads 4 different types of fletchings. Shooting bullet holes through paper. I have no idea. The broadheads are so bad I can’t even hit a 3d deer target at 30 yards.

I just have a few questions to try and narrow down what the problem might be. What draw length and poundage is your bow? What rest, arrows, and grain of broadheads are being used?

27″ inch draw 70 pound weight injextion 330 arrows with 100 grain tips. Mathews QAD Ultra rest. I guess the arrow flight is considered a cork screw. What I don’t get is its flying like that and it’s shooting through paper good

It’s also doing it with my field points. It’s just to a way smaller extent. Once I put the broadheads on it gets really bad. I also tried some fmj’s and some acc’s. they all do the same thing so I am assuming its the bow

After looking closely at my bow I noticed this cable wear right next to the cam. Is that normal? The cable is like 2 months old

More times than not it is a setup problem or bow being out of spec that causes erratic arrow flight. In the picture your cam is under rotated telling me your bow is out of spec. I would have your retailer put your bow back in spec and check your rest setup and start there.

Can you see that string wear in that pic? That doesn’t look good to me

I do see the wear on the cable.  Thats why I suggested to have your retailer look at it. They might be able to fix you up there or they can give mathews a call.

1st off I would have bow checked to make sure it’s properly tuned and have that cable checked. Possibly may just need the serving repaired in that area. Also, check to make sure your not getting any fletching contact on the rest using some foot powder spray.
2nd you might try and stiffer arrow, 330 may be pushing it on the light side if your pulling back the full 70+ lbs.
Just my .02, hope you get it figured out

So took it to the shop and he didn’t know what you meant by in spec. He did mess with the timing and the rest. I know I wasn’t getting any fletching contact. Still looks like my arrows are flying weird. Kicking off to the left side just a bit. I have only been able to shoot at 20. After all of his adjustments my sights were off by about 18 inches low and 12 inches right. Shot a few broadheads after sighting back in and they are almost right on at 20 so I will get out this weekend and try some longer distances.

Yet another dealer that doesn’t know anything about the bows they sell.  I hate to hi-jack this thread but I really, REALLY, feel Mathews is doing all of us (loyal customers) a dis-service by not auditing their dealers.  I have to ignore the two closest Mathews dealers and drive 1.5hrs to the third just so I can have an intelligent conversation about these bows and how they shoot.  I am constantly seeing posts on here about disappointment in dealers especially when it comes to getting a Mathews bows “in spec.”  Maybe my expectations are too high, but I can’t figure out why every dealer is not required to have the knowledge on par with the likes of LOSTarrow, gjarcher, and Vince.  I’m sorry AustinLindsey that you have to deal with this.  The best advice I have is listen to these guys here in this forum and start learning to fix problems yourself.  It won’t come overnight but eventually.

Yeah I know what you’re saying. I have not been vey happy at all. I love the bow but when I have spent like 3500 bucks at this place in 6 months and I tell them no broadheads will fly and I see the arrows flying weird and they shrug their shoulders at me it makes me want to punch them in the face. Unfortunately I don’t have another Mathews dealer for like 4 hours from me.

I would think that for that much money on just my bow let alone fishing and other hunting stuff they would kiss my feet when I walk in
